Nuala Ronan
Founder, Managing Partner

Nuala is our founder and managing partner at Databean. Originally from Europe, she studied nursing in England and later went on to study pre-med at Columbia University in New York. After more than 30 years in the healthcare arena, 20 of which were in academic medicine and industry-sponsored research, Nuala co-founded Databean to advance medical technology approvals for small companies entering the clinical trial arena. Additionally, she helped develop TrialPoint™, a comprehensive research management system to provide transparent and efficient data solutions to virtual clients and personnel.

Nuala has extensive knowledge and training around key clinical, regulatory, and data management requirements essential for the successful execution of global clinical trials. With her ‘infectious enthusiasm’ for innovation, Nuala quickly assesses the value of new MedTech products and works hard to bring them to reality. When not working, Nuala is a strong advocate of women’s rights and lifelong supporter of women and entrepreneurs in STEM fields. Her favorite charity is Kiva because she believes everyone deserves the opportunity to realize and pursue their dreams.
